When you are on a diet it can be pretty tough maintaining an active social life and going to parties. At parties the whole point is to let your inhibitions go and your hair down, and so this allows temptation to sink in. Be it party food or alcohol, there is a wide range of different tempting goodies that will end up piling on the pounds if you are not careful so make sure that you exercise moderation.

A major issue with late night parties is that the food isn't dished up until later on in the evening. This means that the munchies kick in, resulting in a mass binging session on finger food and snacks that are saturated in fat.

Make sure that you get plenty of fibre in your diet, as fibre is vital for maintaining a healthy digestive system and helps keep your stomach in good working order.

Dessert usually involves eating something sweet, so why not opt for some nice, juicy fruit as opposed to high calorie, high sugar ice cream? The fresh fruit option will be even nicer because you can feel pleased with yourself for resisting the urge to crack open the snacks!
